Ollo!

So, I am reading the Dresden Files now.  I'm in the beginning of the first book, so I can't really judge it all proper like, but my dad has read all of the ones that are out and says that they are great.  With the start of the Dresden Files, I will be counting all of the books I have read prior to the last count. So today I will put the number "1; Dresden Files Series book one- Storm Front by Jim Butcher" and then next time, I may put "2; Cruel Enchantment by Anya Bast." then " 2; Edge Series book three - Fate's Edge Ilona Andrews" under that first ans so on so forth.  I will see how many books I can read till i get bored of this project.  Or maybe I'll see how long it will take to read a certain amount of books........ Eh.  Either one. Ciao!

whoa.....

So, my Aunt Shannon had her baby a few days ago and we are all SOOO happy that everything went smoothly.  Plus I just found out that I will be able to spend two weeks at their house to help take care of the babe!!!! I AM SOOO HAPPY!!! It's gonna be after Thanksgiving though, so I will be missing the last two weeks of class.  Not the homework, mind you, just the actual classes..... which kinda sucks but, hey..... I'm not gonna complain.

Busted

Right, so while walking to the library earlier today, I saw to high school aged looking boys. Nothing suspicious about that, right? Except that it was around 2 in the afternoon. I remember thinking 'huh... Shouldn't they be in school about now?' but I didn't say anything, just kept on walking home. Before I got home though, my mom met me and asked if I wanted to walk to seven-eleven with her. Me being me, I said sure. So while we are walking up the street I see the same boys from earlier walking back with a police car slowly cruising behind them.  So when we get within talking distance my mom asks 'whatja do?' they both kept watching their feet, but one got this big Cheshire Cat grin on his face and replied 'Got caught'.  It was actually really funny, but you would have to be there to have heard the slyness in his voice when he said it.  The police man then asks us if we should be in school.  I should get four cookies for not laughing right there.  My mom bent over so she could speak to him and said 'I'm thirty six years old, and my daughter is home schooled. I don't think we need to be at the high school.'. Man his face couldn't have turned any redder. He was so embarrassed!! Ciao!!!

within walking distance

I am soooo happy that I live within walking distance of so many good places. I can walk to the library almost whenever I want, plus the seven-eleven, or a numerous amount of fast food and ice cream places...... Yum!

who da boss now?!?!?!

HEYA!!! So yesterday, I had another soccer game, we creamed the other team, and I was able to play the winger position! That's kinda like a forward but we generally stay to the side of the goal.  I was able to shoot twice! None of the goals made it in, but still..... I had to make the goalie work a little right? It would be cruel of me not too..... }:) MWHAHAHAHAHAHA.....haha....ha.... CIAO!

Boo(k)!

I love A good Horror/Mystery book right around this time of year, it fit's with the coldness outside and the smell of fall. Don'tcha think? Plus, The Simpson Tee House of Horrors is on.  Those are always funny.I just finished reading a book called 'Obsessed' it's about a chick how accidentally get the attention of a wanted man who enjoys carving people up.  He puts are heart over their heart so that they can 'remember' him.  Cause, of course, that's what the voice in his head is telling him to do.  So he does that but then one of his victims goes into shock and he only has time to carve half of the heart.  He never kills. Ever. So he trails the ambulance to the hospital and sees Dr. Ive P.  Once he sees her the voice inside his head shuts up, she also patched up Bessie (His victim). So he starts to stalk her, then when that's not working he "Dates" one of her cousins so then he gets her unlisted number and starts to call her. Then he gets really mad that she's not the angle he though she was and tries to hurt Jaz (the girl he's 'Dating') but when he does that, another cousin come to the rescue! Then he flees to Ive's house and tries to kill her. But then the police come because she was able to get to a phone and stuff. KA-BLAMO!  It's really strange at times though.... HAPPY HALLOWEEN FOLKS!

Soooo...... Today is Halloween and I have homework to doooo.........greeeeeaaaaattttttt. I feel special. AND to top it all off, I have to wake up early cause of school tomorrow! I hate waking up before noon. But on the rare occasion that I do actually get to see till noon I then have to get up and do chores or something. So, it's either wake up before noon (Though AFTER nine thirty!) and read for a bit, or wake up at noon and get straight to work. Bummer.....

Telly

So I tried to watch TV today and the television people made a new format for all the channels to look like and it was really confusing for the first five minutes.  Then I figured out how to get to the music channels, so now I am listening to Coldplay "Every Tear Drop Is A Waterfall". It's an amazing song.  Most of Coldplay is. CIAO!

The Nightmare Before Christmas

Hey! Yesterday my brother and I decorated my grandparents house for Halloween (mostly with those spider web thingies) and found that my favorite movies of all time happens to be The Nightmare Before Christmas along with Corpse Bride.  So I listened to those all day on my grandmas I-phone.  It annoyed my brother (plus!), he apparently doesn't like Nightmare Before Christmas. I, naturally, had to hit him. Lightly. Semi-Lightly. On the shoulder.... anyways.................

Funny...

I love soccer, I truly do. The Referees on the other hand, can make bad calls, or just miss some all together.  They also take sides sometimes.... That's the worst!  The head referee, though, is usually pretty nice to me. He says I am the only person he actually knows by name, partly because of my unusual hair color and partly because I'm not afraid to play dirty on the field.  While that can not be all together a bad thing, it's not good sometimes.  You have no idea how many times I have been cussed out because somebody was annoyed they got tripped. It's usually rather amusing though. I also think it's funny how the other teams in my league are always telling their players to avoid the "Blue Girl".  Funny }:) MWHAHAHAHAHA!

Part 2 of the TOP 10 FAVORITES!!

1) Frosted Mini Wheats Bite Sized Blueberry Muffin.  They're delicious! Only dry though, I can't eat them in milk for some reason.

2) My NOOK!!! I've got almost 170 books on there right now (including sample) so it's like... I don't know how to describe it.... I take my nook everywhere I can.

3) My Laptop.  I have internet, so I can listen to music, and do emails and homework all in my room away from guitars and latin or whatever else my mom and brother are going over.

4) My comics. I only have a few of them, but the ones I own I very well used.  One of them is broken in half at the seam because I read it so much the weight tore it in half. It's over a thousand pages in black in white.  "Bone" by Jeff Smith.

5) My bookshelves. I love my bookshelves because not all books are available for ebook yet, so there is still a very real need for space to place books that are made of paper.  Plus who would want to buy all of the books you already have on paperback just so you could have it on ebook?

This completes my TOP 10 FAVORITES! Woo! Now I have to go play with a four year old, See ya!

TOP 10!

Righteous.  So today while in our wonderfully colorful yearbook class, we decided to write about our top 10 favorite thingies in ZE WORLD!! And so far, for me, most of those things are books.  So staring with one of my favorite books (Only $0.99 on Barns and Noble.com) is called "Hush Money" by Susan Bischoff.  The second book also came out recently and that's called "Heroes 'Til Curfew. They are currently the only two books in the Talent Chronicles (hopefully there will be more, but I won't hold me breath).  I'm gonna count those as two things.  My third favorite book, I'm gonna say is "Red" by Kait Nolan.  That is not part of a series, though I think has an amazing character structure.  These three books, heck- ALL of my books have something paranormal in them so if that bothers you don't look them up.

Hush Money; They call their abilities Talents, and that’s what they call themselves as well. Talents are people born with supernatural powers, feared by the population at large. Possession of an “unregistered ability” has become illegal, and those who are discovered are forcibly removed to government-run research facilities. They do not return.
And so the Talents try, as best they can, to keep their abilities secret–some more successfully than others. For some, keeping that secret begins to define who they are. That’s where Hush Money begins…
Be normal, invisible. Don’t get close to anyone. Those are the rules to live by for seventeen-year-old Joss. She spent years as an outsider, hoping to hide what she is, until the new girl, Kat, decides she’s friend material. Kat doesn’t realize her mistake when she stands up for Joss against Marco, a guy who’s been giving Joss a hard time since freshman year. Joss is horrified when these heroics lead to the reveal of Kat’s Talent. Now she has an unasked-for best friend, who is the victim of an extortion plot by the school bully, who used to like Joss. And if all that weren’t complicated enough, Dylan, Joss’s long-time crush, is finally starting to talk to her. But as Marco’s best friend, can Dylan be trusted at all? Can Joss keep her secret and still save her friend? And what’s more important, staying safe or doing what’s right?
Hush Money is a novel of approximately 50,000 words, and is rated PG-13 for strong language and one suggestive scene. It is recommended that parents read the sample provided by their retailer before purchasing this book for tweens/younger teens.
RED;                                Every fairy tale has a dark side...
Elodie Rose has a secret. Any day, she’ll become a wolf and succumb to the violence that’s cursed her family for centuries. For seventeen years she’s hidden who and what she is. But now someone knows the truth and is determined to exterminate her family line. Living on borrowed time in the midst of this dangerous game of hide and seek, the last thing Elodie needs to do is fall in love. But Sawyer is determined to protect her, and the brooding, angry boy is more than what he seems. Can they outsmart a madman? And if they survive, will they find a way to beat the curse for good?

This is what barnsandnoble.com will say about these books if you look them up, really interesting books. I have always loved how people made out different creatures that go bump in the night. the general conscientious for this day and age is that vampires are a giant thorn in your side and never make eye contact with a werewolf if you don't want to issue a challenge.  At least from the books I've read.
For my third favorite book, I choose....*DRUM ROLL* "TOUCH OF FROST" by Jennifer Estep
This is what barns and noble say about this particular book.
Touch Of Frost     My name is Gwen Frost, and I go to Mythos Academy -- a school of myths, magic and warrior whiz kids, where even the lowliest geek knows how to chop off somebody's head with a sword and Logan Quinn, the hottest Spartan guy in school, also happens to be the deadliest.
But lately, things have been weird, even for Mythos. First, mean girl Jasmine Ashton was murdered in the Library of Antiquities. Then, someone stole the Bowl of Tears, a magical artifact that can be used to bring about the second Chaos War. You know, death, destruction and lots of other bad, bad things. Freaky stuff like this goes on all the time at Mythos, but I'm determined to find out who killed Jasmine and why - especially since I should have been the one who died . . .

Don't worry I'm only going to go to my number five in favorite books, and then I'll talk about five other things next time. They won't be books. Whenever I talk about books it takes up way too much room!
The number four favorite book is "Hawksmaid" by Kathryn Lasky. This is a Robin Hood story retold with Maid Marian as their mastermind in all thing devious.  Well, her and her hawks. It's truly is an amazing story.

     Hawksmaid
Matty has been raised to dance well, embroider exquisitely, and marry nobly. But when Matty's mother is murdered before her very eyes and her father, a nobleman, is reduced to poverty, Matty's life changes.
As the daughter of Nottingham's most famous falconer, she finds a new destiny in the hawks her father keeps. She begins to understand their thoughts and even speak their language. The beautiful merlin Marigold becomes Matty's closest winged companion and her fiercest ally.
It is a treacherous time in England. The sheriff of Nottingham is rising to power, and a true king has been kidnapped. Determined to fight, Matty's friend Fynn becomes Robin Hood. As Maid Marian, Matty joins Fynn and his Merry Men, famously robbing from the rich to give to the poor.

And last but not least, my number five favorite.  "Psion Beta" by Jacob Gowans.
      Psion Beta
Sammy, a 14-year-old fugitive, accidentally discovers he has the powers of a Psion.
Plucked off the streets, he is thrust into the rigorously-disciplined environment of Psion Beta headquarters. As a new Beta, Sammy must hone his new found abilities using holographic fighting simulations, stealth training missions, and complex war games. His fellow trainees are other kids competing to prove their worth so they can graduate and contribute to the war effort.
But the stifling competition at headquarters isolates Sammy from his peers. Learning to use his incredible abilities powers is difficult enough, but when things go horribly wrong on a routine training mission, he must rely on the other Betas to stay alive.
I am kind of disappointed in this book because there will not be a second even though it's left open for one, not enough people read books apparently. So while this is an amazing book as a whole, I am sad that it can't continue to be amazing.
For now my friends this is good bye. While it was fun for me to write this it probably won't be as fun reading it and for that I am sorry. Note that these are not in any particular order other then Hush Money is my number on favorite. The others just came as I bought them on the internet.

SUBJECTS UNITE!

So we are supposed to say/type what our favorite subject is and why along with our least favorite and why. I think my favorite subject currently, is language. Italian class is really fun, the book we're using is called "Prego" which means 'Welcome' in Italian. I can't tell you that much about it becuase we just entered the first chapter, but so far it has been really great. There are comics in the corners sometimes and pictures for things with there name in Italian near them.

My least favorite is currently PreCalculus (with Trigonometry).  We are using Math-U-See, an interesting book that has helped me a lot, but it still gives me headaches and I still wish to forgo all things math.  Mrs. Catryna is also a big help, which is a relief because sometimes people only stick to whatever the book says instead of trying different methods to make sure all of the students get what they're supposed too.

On a cheerier note, my uncle dyed my hair again and it's  almost black in some lighting even though it's technically blue...... I think it looks really fantabulous, but you will have to choose for yourself when we meet again tomorrow! MWHAHAHAHA!! BTW my shirt is of a cartoon call "Invader Zim" look it up, it's amazing!!!

WOO!

Hey! I had another soccer game today, and we won! It's was really fun, and the ground was really wet from thee rain. It's actually a lot of fun to play in the rain...... Anyways, I said I would try not to talk that much about soccer in this post. Here is a photo of my friend Daniel trying to be manly but failing kinda epically, since he can't get the ax out of the log. Until next time, my friends!

Again with the soccer....

YO! I forgot to add in my last post that we lost 4 (or 5) to 1. Though we did get one goal and that is something to be proud of for the first game this season.  I just had a soccer practice, we scrimmaged with my brothers team; The Blazers.  I don't mean any disrespect to my brothers team because me team is in the league above, but we beat them 5 (or 6) to 0. They aren't very aggressive which will be a problem in their league (full or 10, 11, and 12 year old boys and girls) because of the level of competitiveness. My league is full of 13, 14, and 15 (possibly 16) year old girls. Only girls though, I'm in an all girls league.  It was really fun, all the boys are very fast and they are all willing to after the ball even when someone twice their size was in possession of said ball. All in all, they are very perky even when they lost. They also had great sportsmanship, which can be rare for that particular league. I am finishing the rest of my homework which makes me feel like a slacker since it's Monday and the majority of it is due tomorrow....... Have a good night! I promise to try not to talk only about soccer next time!

First Post For MAD MAYAH!

Hello! This is the first post for me.  I don't really know what to talk about, but I was told to talk about anything.  Let's star with yesterday! My brother had his first soccer game of the season, they didn't win but they where trying their best and that's all anyone can do, right? Today, I have my first soccer game of the season, and we are called 'Illusion'. I'll tell ya how the game goes tomorrow- or the next day I guess.  I'm also thinking about counting how many books I can read in one month, going from one book to the next, so I might start that at the beginning of the new month :) Until next time, my friends!
